Weaving together art, science, and indigenous knowledge from near and far, the annual program Inviting Life unfolds from a practice of deeply listening to the land —a space animated by humans and non-humans, living and non-living beings. Every year we explore the possibility of perceiving the connection and intimate correspondence between our own organism and the earth’s one. Body as territory and territory as body. In this perception, the defenses that separate us from the outside world are lowered and our actions become fluid, fully present and in resonance with those of other beings.
Cornelia Georgus | Every cell knows where down is
The larger the contact surface, the less need there is to maintain balance—but also the less readiness or willingness there is to move. The key to learning is not willpower, but perception, with the function and quality of human movement taking center stage. A child does not learn “to walk” in the strict sense. They learn to solve problems, to move through their environment as effectively as possible, in constant physical, ecological, and social interaction.
How can we develop trust in our own nervous system and thus become more resilient? Every being is a system with largely unknown resources, ready to be supported and guided by immaterial forces.
Focus on the unmeasurable and explore your own resources of movement.

Judy Jacanamejoy, Wbeimar Jacanamejoy and Daniel Tisoy | Sentir arte para sanar
We share with you, brothers and sisters from other lands, along with your spirits and your ancestors, thoughts and practices inspired by the wisdom of nature. The elders of our people say that the earth is a clear reflection of our bodies, simply because we come from it: earth is my body, water is my blood, wind is my breath, fire is my spirit. Pianpicollo is a body of water, a gentle word and a living essence.
Together, we seek a work endowed with its own essence that remains alive. The canvas is not merely a vessel for the painting, but also for subtle elements of high energetic vibration: songs, soundscapes, laughter, living memory, and other manifestations that each person’s spirit has freely evoked.

Sophie Krier | Being Here
Perceiving and feeling how the land and its numinous beings move through me – plant, animal, mineral, and spiritual. Listening to how they speak to me. Journaling emerging perceptions and dreams. Seeking ways to respond, working toward a synthesis of my encounters with them. Writing, walking, and weaving together the vitality my body can tune into. What does it ask of us humans to truly align with the daily rhythms of fellow living beings? How can we keep track of their absence and presence, of their coming and going? A research inspired from the very beginning by the work, words, and practices of Natasha Lythgoe (The Art of Rewilding), which help us “finding our way back to be dreamt by Earth.”
